Potatoes Smothered in Sour Cream


2 lbs. potatoes, peeled and sliced
2 med. onions, chopped
1 Tbs. butter 1/2 c. sour cream
1 heaping Tbs. chopped dill
Salt and pepper to taste


Parboil potatoes in salted water 5 minutes. Drain. Brown onions lightly in butter and add to potatoes, with sour cream, dill and seasonings. Cover tightly and simmer until done, about 30 minutes.
