Buttered Pea Pods


4 c. pea pods
1/2 tsp. sugar
2 Tbs. butter


Remove tips and strings from fresh pea pods. In saucepan combine fresh pea pods, sugar, 1/2 c. water, and 1 tsp. salt. Cover; bring to boiling. Boil 2 minutes, drain well. Heat and stir butter till light golden; toss with pea pods. Season with salt and pepper.

Makes 6-8 Servings
