Vegetable Soup


1 soup bone
2 lbs. stewing beef or ground beef
2 qts. water
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. tomatoes
2 tsp. salt
Black pepper


Put soup bone and beef into 2 qts. water and boil for 2 hours. add tomatoes, onions and celery. Also add other available vegetables, such as diced potatoes, carrots, turnips, green beans, corn, peas and cabbage. Boil until vegetables are tender.
