Scalloped Celery


2 c. celery
2 Tbs. butter
2 Tbs. flour
1 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
Buttered crumbs


Cut celery into pieces and cook in salted water for 10-15 minutes; drain. Make a medium white sauce with butter, flour, milk and salt. Arrange celery and sauce alternately in layers. Top with buttered crumbs. Bake at 325 for 25 minutes or until it bubbles.
