Rhubarb Sponge


1 c. sugar
1 Tbs. butter
2 Tbs. flour
2 eggs, separated
1 c. milk
1 c. rhubarb, cooked


Cream sugar and butter; add flour and egg yolks. Mix thoroughly. Add milk and rhubarb. Whip egg whites and fold into batter. Bake 10 minutes at 450 degrees, then 30 minutes more at 350.
