Custard Pie


Pastry for one-crust pie

3 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. hot milk


In large bowl, beat eggs. Add sugar, salt, nutmeg and vanilla; mix well. Blend in hot milk. Pour into pastry-lined pan. Bake at 400 for 25 to 30 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Cool. Store in refrigerator.
