Cream of Tomato Soup


2 Tbs. margarine
2 Tbs. chopped onion
3 Tbs. flour 2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
Dash of garlic salt, basil, oregano and thyme
2 c. tomato juice
2 c. cold milk


Saute onion in margarine. Blend in flour, sugar and sesonings. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in tomato juice. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute. Stir hot mixture into milk. Heat almost to boiling point and serve.
