Country Supper


1 Tbs. butter
1 large onion, chopped
1 lb. sauerkraut, drained
1 c. dry white wine
1 apple, pared and diced
1 Tbs. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. caraway seed
4 medium red potatoes, quartered
1 lb. hot dogs


In medium sauce pan melt butter over medium heat. Add onion. Cook, stirring often, 3 minutes. Add sauerkraut, wine, apple, brown sugar and caraway seed; mix well. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Add potatoes and cook, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes or until tender. Add hot dogs and cook 20 minutes or until heated through.
