Chocolate Dipped Strawberries
Ingredients:
2 pints fresh strawberries
6 oz. semisweet chocolate morsels
1 Tbs. shortening
2 pints fresh strawberries
6 oz. semisweet chocolate morsels
1 Tbs. shortening
Directions:
Rinse strawberries and dry thoroughly on paper towels. Set aside. Place chocolate morsels and shortening in top of a double boiler; bring water to a boil. Reduce heat to low, and cook until chocolate melts. Cool chocolate to luke warm (110 degrees).
Grasp strawberries by the stem, and dip in chocolate mixture; place on a wire rack sprayed with vegetable cooking spray, and chill until firm. Serve within 8 hours. Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
