Ground Turkey Balls with Sauce


3 lbs. ground turkey
1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
3 tsp. horseradish
3 cloves garlic
1 c. tomato juice
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

3 Tbs. butter
1 med. onion, chopped
3 Tbs. flour
2 1/2 c. beef broth
3 Tbs brown sugar
3 Tbs. ketchup
2 Tbs. lemon juice


For turkey balls combine all ingredients, mixing well. Shape into 1: balls. Place in a single layer in a large, oiled baking dish. Bake at 450 for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and place in a casserole dish. Cover with sauce; simmer 5 minutes. Serve.
SAUCE: Heat butter in a large skillet. Add onions and saute until tender. Gradually blend in flour, stirring constantly. Add remaining ingredients. Cook over low heat for 15 minutes.
