Ingredients:
Sift together:
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp baking soda
4 c. flour
Gradually add to:
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 lb. butter
4 eggs
1 1/2 lb. dates, chopped
1 lb. nut meats, chopped
1 lb. raisins (boiled and drained)
Juice of 1 orange
1 tsp. vanilla
Sift together:

Directions:
Let mixture stand for awhile before dropping by teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for about 10 min. This recipe yields about 15 doz. or more depending on the size of the cookie.
