Cran-Apple Pie


Pastry for two crust pie

4 c. sliced peeled tart apples
2 c. fresh or frozen cranberries
1 c. sugar
2 Tbs. cornstarch
2 Tbs. butter


In large bowl, combine apples and cranberries. In small bowl,combine sugar and cornstarch. Sprinkle sugar mixture over fruit; toss lightly. Spoon into pastry-lined pan. Dot with butter. Top with remaining pastry. Cut slits in several places in top pastry. Bake at 425 for 35 to 45 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown.
