Corn Chowder

Ingredients:

12 slices bacon, finely chopped
4 small onion, chopped
1/2 c. green peppers, chopped
2 c. carrots, diced
2 c. diced celery or cabbage
8 c. whole kernel corn
6 c. milk
1 tsp. pepper
4 tsp. salt

Directions:

Fry bacon with onion. Add other vegetables and a small amount of water. Simmer until tender. Add the corn and milk and heat to boiling. Add seasonings. Serve with crackers.
