Broiled Shrimp


1 3/4 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. ketchup
1 small clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paorika
2 lbs. fresh shrimp


Combine first 5 ingredients in a large shallow dish; stir well. Add shrimp, peeled and deveined, and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Remove shrimp from marinade; place in a 15x10x1" jellyroll pan. Pour enough marinade over shrimp to coat but not cover (abour 1 cup). Broil 2 minutes; turn shrimp over, and broil 2 minutes or until done. Serve hot.
